Clickshare Service Corp. Board of Directors

Richard A. Lerner, Ph.D. is president and chief executive officer of Clickshare Service Corp. and joined the company in 1999. Dr. Lerner, Clickshare's principal technology architect and strategist, is a computer scientist with over 20 years of experience in developing large, distributed, network applications. Since receiving his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Lerner has lead the development of many large-scale applications, both for commercial application and for industrial and academic research. His technical expertise includes federated transaction systems, concurrent and distributed systems, internet applications and software engineering. Lerner joined Clickshare in 1999 as its Chief Technology Director. In 2002, he became President of Clickshare, leading its transition from its angel-funded inception to its current revenue-focused growth stage. Prior to his years at Clickshare, his major projects included the Image Understanding Environment (IUE), funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, to provide a sophisticated environment for university and corporate researchers developing new image understanding algorithms; and the Image Understanding Architecture (IUA), a heterogeneous large-scale multiprocessor designed for high-throughput image understanding applications. Earlier, Dr. Lerner worked with Raj Reddy in the Speech Understanding Lab at Carnegie Mellon University and in the high energy physics laboratory at Bell Laboratories.

Arthur M. Lerner is the former vp-corporate development of Siemens Corp. In 20 years with Siemens he was involved with new product development, strategic planning, organizational restructuring, and acquisitions and divestitures. He also was responsible for Siemens Venture Capital investments, served as President of a subsidiary, Aerotron, Inc., and on the board of directors of Siemens-Allis Equipment Service Corporation. Prior to his work at Siemens, he was involved in communications research and development and was president for 15 years of a company in the data transmission field. He holds a BS and MS in electrical engineering from Rutgers University.

William P. Densmore was named a director emeritus of Clickshare Service Corp. on Aug 26, 2000. Mr. Densmore is a management consultant and former senior VP and general manager of the largest operating unit of Norton Co., a Fortune 200 manufacturer of abrasives and engineered materials acquired in 1991 by Sant-Gobain Corp. He has served on the adjunct faculty of the Clark University Graduate School of Management and has taught management and leadership seminars at the College of the Holy Cross. He has also served as executive director of the Worcester Consortium for Higher Education and as chairman of the Worcester Area Systems for affordable Health Care. He is a past member of the Massachusetts State Board of Education and an emeritus trustee and graduate (B.S., mechanical engineering, with distinction) of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and is on the executive board of its WPI Venture Forum.

Barry C. Field, Ph.D. served as a Clickshare Service Corp. director from 1997 through March, 2004. Dr. Field is a senior professor and former chairman, Department of Resource Economics, University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He is the author of the widely used Environmental Economics: An Introduction, published by McGraw-Hill. An academic speciality is the economics of digital-information delivery. Prof. Fields holds a Ph.D., from the University of California-Berkeley and an M.S. and B.S. from Cornell University.
