WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Clickshare Service Corp., which provides
infrastructure for
digital-content sales and distributed customer management, announced the
appointment of H. Bruce McEver to its board of directors.
Mr. McEver, who has served as an adviser to Clickshare since 1997, is
president and founder of mergers and acquisitions for advisory firm
Berkshire Capital.
He takes the seventh seat on the Clickshare board, replacing Steve Mott,
former president of the Web House division of Priceline, who will will
remain with Clickshare as an adviser.
Also sitting on the board as outside directors are chairman, Mike Swink,
former vice president of operations for billing consolidator, Insite
Services; Michael Dowling, director of Sawgrass Investors; Barry Field,
professor of resource economics at the University of Massachusets, Amherst;
and Michael Kaiser, formerly of Andersen Consulting and PeopleSoft.
Clickshare Service has raised $3.3 million to date, including a combined
Series B/Series C round of $1.1 million, which closed in April. Backers
include Sawgrass Investors, as well as individuals including David Duffield,
founder and chairman of PeopleSoft; Margaret Taylor, CEO of Venture
Builders; Sam McKeel, retired publisher of the Philadelphia Inquirer and
Chicago Sun Times; and Thomas J. Rehwaldt, a co-founder of the Chicago
Reader and Washington City Paper.
Founded in 1997, Clickshare Service has a staff of 14.
