Lerner, Ph.D., Chief Executive & CTO
Dr. Lerner, Clickshare's principal technology architect and strategist, is a computer scientist with over 20 years of experience in developing large, distributed, network applications. Since receiving his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Lerner has lead the development of many large-scale applications, both for commercial application and for industrial and academic research. His technical expertise includes federated transaction systems, concurrent and distributed systems, internet applications and software engineering. Lerner joined Clickshare in 1999 as its Chief Technology Director. In 2002, he became President of Clickshare, leading its transition from its angel-funded inception to its current revenue-focused growth stage. Prior to his years at Clickshare, his major projects included the Image Understanding Environment (IUE), funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, to provide a sophisticated environment for university and corporate researchers developing new image understanding algorithms; and the Image Understanding Architecture (IUA), a heterogeneous large-scale multiprocessor designed for high-throughput image understanding applications. Earlier, Dr. Lerner worked with Raj Reddy in the Speech Understanding Lab at Carnegie Mellon University and in the high energy physics laboratory at Bell Laboratories.

Smith joined Clickshare in October, 2003. He has over 15 years of
sales
and marketing experience in the financial-services industry. As Vice
President, Americas for Mondex International a digital payment subsidiary
of Mastercard International, he sold multi-million dollar licensing
agreements for its digital-payment service used for micropayment purchases
over the Internet, mobile telephony and digital TV. Previously he
negotiated restructuring of Mexican private-sector debt owed the U.S.
government for The Export-Import Bank of the United States, and worked for
General Motors of Brazil, and Santander Serfin Bank in New York. Smith
holds a B.A. in business administration from Kent State
University. After graduation, he served in Peru and Brazil with the Peace
Corps and was for two years a marketing professor at Federal University of
Brazil. After 9/11, Greg assisted displaced Lower Manhattan businesses
as an advocate for the non-profit Project ReSTART.
Bill
Densmore, founder
Densmore and a partner conceived and pioneered development of the TVS distributed
user-management and micropayment aggregation system before its Nov. 15, 1997 sale to
Clickshare Service Corp., which he founded. Densmore is director and editor of The Media Giraffe Project and principal of Densmore Associates, which develops partner and other
business strategies for independent media and print publishers, including newspapers. He has
served as interim CEO/director of Hancock
Shaker Village Inc., and advertising director for the North
Adams [Mass.] Transcript. Bill has spoken by invitation at industry conferences and
seminars sponsored by The Gartner Group, McKinsey & Co., the Haas School of Business at
UC-Berkeley, Editor & Publisher Interactive and The Associated Press. He received his B.A.
in environmental policy and communications from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in
1975 and was graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 1971.
